What is the course about?
 

  A ladder of opportunity for school leavers wishing to continue with their
preparation for life, independence and the world of work.

An entry level course designed to develop personal, social and practical skills.

Key skills are developed through all course units.

The Access course has been spcifically designed to meet your needs.

By further developing and improving your skills, the Access Course will give you more confidence, self-esteem and a greater independence.
How will you learn and be assessed?
The Access course will support you as you leave school by improving your basic skills, while preparing you for future independence and employment.
What other opportunities are available to you?

The Access Course provides you with an opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications at Entry Level, including ASDAN Certificate in Life Skills (see next page for more details).

Work Experience

There will also be opportunities for you to carry out a short and realistic Work Experience as part of your attendance on the Access Course. You will continue to be supported and monitored by our staff while you are on your work experience.

Educational Visits

Much of the Access Course is delivered in a practical and realistic setting, therefore you will make frequent visits to sites and locations in and around the local community.
